Local Airports
T hough the Glenwood Springs airport is private, a host of other flying options are convenient and available. The Pitkin County Airport(Sardy Field) is located just outside of Downtown Aspen on Highway 133, about 40 minutes South of Glenwood Springs. Another popular choice is the Eagle/Vail Airport, which is a short 35 miles East of Glenwood Springs along I-70. If Denver International is part of the plan, have no fear. DIA is just 3 hour drive East of Glenwood Springs on the I-70, through some of the most scenic mountains around. If a smaller airport is your cup of tea, Grand Junction (Walker Field) is approximately 1 hour West of Glenwood and easy to get to. |
